Application Support Specialist

The Application Support Specialist will be responsible in supporting client applications, maintaining knowledge-based/support documentation, and performing various support functions to ensure smooth operation and reliability of our client applications.1. Application Support a. Provide first-liner support for applicationsb. Performing basic troubleshooting and identify workarounds for common problems such as manual pushing of pending cases c. Handle service request and ad-hoc reports as required by business needs.2. Knowledge-based and Application Support Documentationa. Develop and maintain comprehensive application knowledge-based documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting steps, and procedural manuals.b. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and reflects any changes or updates to the applications.3. Application Health-checksa. Conduct regular application health checks to ensure performance, availability, and stability.b. Monitor application performance metrics and address any anomalies or potential issues.4. Production Batch Monitoringa. Monitor and manage batch processes, ensuring the jobs are completed successfully and on time.b. Perform initial troubleshooting and advise the Engineering on complex issues. 5. Data Extractiona. Perform data extraction tasks as needed b. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of extracted data.6. Incident Handling
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree• At least 1 experience as an Application Support or any related IT related job experience• Application Support or Tech Support experience• Strong customer-orientation and good oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in application troubleshooting and support processes.
• Basic SQL and Scripting• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and collaboration tools• Familiarity with monitoring tools and batch processing.• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge (Certification - Technical, Product, Industry, etc.): - Insurance Operations - Financial Services
