Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Performs a range of responsibilities from designing a secure network infrastructure to deployment of applications and database to different environments. Continuous learning of new tools and technology to perform network configuration and Infrastructure as a code deployment. Assist solution architect and DevOps for proper technical architecture that provides robustness, scalability, up-time, and efficiency. Supports initiatives with Business System to implement policies required by IT, Security and Audit groups.

 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designs and configure network systems and services for proper execution

  • Design Instructure-as-a-code to deploy Docker nodes in the cloud

  • Execute Database updates in accordance with security guidelines

  • Ensures devices, desktops and servers are up to date with correct access control, certificates, and hotfixes

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to network, performance, compatibility, and access control

  • Research on the latest tools and services applicable for project delivery

  • Assist support teams in identifying production environment issues

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to comply with bank standards

  • Continuous improvement of client’s architecture that optimizers performance and cost

  • Performs other duties related to architecture and/or infrastructure

  • Act as a change agent by promoting best practices across the organization

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or its equivalent.

  • Must have 4+ years’ experience as Network or Server Administrator. (Non-negotiable)

  • Must have hands-on experience with CI/CD Pipelines. (Non-negotiable) 

  • Must have experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. (Non-negotiable)

  • Must have experience in Agile Methodology. (Non-negotiable)

  • Must have excellent communications skills (Oral/Written). (Non-negotiable)

  • Must be fast-learner. (Non-negotiable)

  • Must have excellent problem-solving / analytical skills. (Non-negotiable)

 

Good to Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git or SVN)

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)

  • Basic knowledge of SQL

  • Scripting skills in Bash, Perl, PowerShell, Ruby, or Python
