Senior Sabre QIK GDS Developer

• Designing, developing, and maintaining complex Sabre QIK applications that support air travel operations at scale

• Building and integrating solutions using Sabre Web Services (REST and SOAP) and Sabre host capabilities

• Translating business requirements from travel operations teams into clear technical designs and delivery plans

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues across GDS and booking system environments

• Writing and optimizing SQL queries, tables, and database objects to support application logic

• Conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance to developers on the team

• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on automation that improves booking accuracy and operational efficiency

• Supporting Agile/Scrum delivery cadences including sprint planning and backlog grooming

Must Have

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Sabre QIK development OR strong Python or Java development experience in the airline or travel agency space

• Solid working knowledge of Sabre Web Services (REST and SOAP)

• Experience with GDS air systems and air travel workflows (booking, ticketing, schedule changes)

• Strong SQL skills including query writing, DDL, table design, and data manipulation

• Proven ability to lead technically solution ownership, code reviews, and mentoring

• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment

Strong Advantage

• Direct Sabre QIK development experience, even if the primary background is Python or Java

• Familiarity with airline pricing concepts, NDC, or Bargain Finder Max

• Experience supporting high-volume or large-scale booking systems

• Prior work in a travel agency, airline, or GDS integration environment

• Experience with Sabre Red Apps development

Nice to Have

• JavaScript or TypeScript development experience

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket

• Exposure to travel automation, fare management, or itinerary processing systems
