Test Analyst

Job SummaryThe Test Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and readiness of software products before deployment. This role involves planning, creating, and executing test activities to verify that business and functional requirements are met while identifying and documenting any defects or potential issues.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, maintain, and document detailed test cases and test scenarios.Determine appropriate testing approaches and prepare the necessary test data.Execute test cycles and communicate testing results to the Scrum team.Review user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure complete test coverage.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with the development team.Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications to validate functionality, usability, and quality.Conduct various testing activities, including regression, exploratory, system integration, and acceptance testing.Analyze reported defects and requirements with the Scrum team to identify root causes and recommend solutions.Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately implemented.Provide regular updates on testing progress to the Quality Lead and Quality Manager.Recommend process or product improvements based on testing outcomes.Prepare and submit daily status reports on testing activities.Support production teams by reproducing and investigating reported customer issues.Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities when needed. Perform other related tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in Manual QA or Software Testing.(Non-negotiable)Must have hands-on experience testing both web and mobile applications.(Non-negotiable)Must have experience in testing banking applications.(Non-negotiable)Must have experience in Regression Testing.(Non-negotiable)Must have experience in Exploratory Testing.(Non-negotiable)Must have experience in System Integration Testing.(Non-negotiable)Must have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.(Non-negotiable)Must have experience in using defect tracking or test management tools such Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.(Non-negotiable)Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. A fast learner that can come up with several solutions to solve a problem and will analyze quickly to determine the best course of action.
