Occupational Health Nurse

A. Clinical and Nursing Services

  • Provides first aid and emergency nursing care to employees in accordance with DOLE OSH Standards.

  • Conducts triage, health assessments, and medical interviews for walk‑in patients.

  • Assists in the execution of medical interventions prescribed by the Bank Physician.

  • Accompany patients to the nearest emergency facility if determined to require further medical management.

  • Maintains the clinic, medicines, supplies, and equipment in compliance with DOLE standards.

  • Administers flu and pneumococcal vaccines during annual event or at the office clinic.

B. Health Surveillance & Compliance

  • Implements DOLE‑mandated health surveillance programs including screening, monitoring, and documentation of occupational illnesses.

  • Assists in facilitating Annual Physical Examination (APE) and Pre-Employment Medical Exams (PEME) as required.

  • Prepares and submits required DOLE regulatory reports (e.g., WAIR, OSH reports) in coordination with the Wellness Team.

  • Ensures compliance with RA 11058, DO 252.25, and DOH Occupational Health Standards.

C. Case Management & Wellness Support

  • Coordinates with employees regarding medical conditions.

  • Assists with the management of employees with work-related and non-work-related illnesses, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation.

  • Provides basic health education to patients, and support for wellness and preventive programs.

D. OSH Program Participation

  • Participates in emergency response drills / trainings and contributes to wellness communication materials.

  • Participates in workplace hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRAC) activities when required.

E. Records and Reporting

  • Maintains complete, accurate, and confidential medical and health records of employees.

  • Generates regular reports for management including clinic utilization, health trends, and incident summaries.

  • Ensures compliance with DOLE-required medical recordkeeping and reporting.

F. Administrative and Support Functions

  • Coordinates medical activities with the Wellness Team, Bank Physician, HMO, and health partners.

  • Supports implementation of bank-wide wellness programs, immunizations, blood drives, and health campaigns.

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (MUST HAVE)Certification: BOSH for SO1 or OHNAP Training required (MUST HAVE) Professional License: Registered Nurse (MUST HAVE) At least 2 years clinical experience (preferably occupational health) (MUST HAVE)Attended OHNAP training and industry-specific OSH seminar. (MUST HAVE)With basic working knowledge of government regulations (MUST HAVE)Effective communication and coordination skillsFirst aid, emergency response, patient handling (MUST HAVE)OSH compliance and basic occupational health principlesAble to work and coordinate with external regulators, detail-oriented, assertive and thoroughProficient in Office365 tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. (MUST HAVE)Flexibility in work location (MUST HAVE)
Must Have
1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (At least 2 years clinical experience)2. Must be a Registered Nurse; BOSH for SO1 or OHNAP Training is Required3. Has pre-employment requirements (NBI, Medical, TOR, Diploma, and COC/COE)4. Must be willing to be to work in 6 locations if needed including Alabang and Pateros.
