Occupational Health Physician

A. Clinical Services and Medical Oversight

  • Conducts medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of employees for both in-person and virtual consultations.

  • Provides Fit-to-Work, Return-to-Work, and Non-Infectious certifications following DOLE/DOH guidelines.

  • Renders classification of Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) results of applicants to determine fitness for hiring.

  • Oversees management of work-related illnesses, including interpretation of laboratory and other test results, and refers employees to specialists when needed.

  • Supervises the delivery of nursing services and ensures compliance with health protocols. 

B. Occupational Health & Safety Compliance

  •  Ensures organizational compliance with RA 11058, DO 252.25, and DOH Occupational Health Standards.

  • Acts as consultant in the development of occupational health policies, protocols, and guidelines.

  • Conducts health risk assessments, workplace hazard evaluations, and advises on preventive strategies

C. Health Surveillance & Prevention Programs

  • Supervises health surveillance programs, including TB management, communicable disease protocols, and chronic disease monitoring.

  • Provides medical oversight of Annual Physical Examination (APE) and immunization programs.

  • Reviews and analyzes employee health data to identify trends and recommend interventions. 

D. OSH Committee & Advisory Role

  • Serves as medical adviser to the Occupational Safety and Health Committee.

  • Provides expert guidance for emergency preparedness, first aid standards, and medical emergency response.

  • Supports creation and delivery of health education campaigns and training.

E. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintains secure and confidential medical records aligned with DOH and DOLE requirements.

  • Provides regular medical reports and recommendations to management. 

F. Administrative and Collaborative Functions

  • Coordinates with government agencies (DOH, DOLE, OSHC), HMO partners, and external providers.

  • Supports bank-wide wellness programs and health initiatives.

  • Performs other medical and administrative duties as assigned. 

Qualifications
Must be a Doctor of Medicine (MD)Certification / Professional License: PRC-licensed Physician; BLS/ACLS; DOLE OH Training (40-hr) preferred3–5 years medical practice; occupational health experience preferredStrong clinical assessment and diagnostic skillsFamiliarity with DOLE/DOH OSH regulationsCrisis and emergency medical responseProficient in Office365 tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams Flexibility in work location
Must Have
1. Must be a Doctor of Medicine with 3 -5 years of Medical Practice and Licensed Physician2. Must be familiar in DOLE/DOH OSH regulations3. Has pre-employment requirements (NBI, Medical, TOR, Diploma, and COC/COE)
