Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust DevOps practices that streamline deployments, enhance reliability, and support our global development initiatives. You’ll work closely with development, project management, and integration teams to ensure efficient and seamless deployment processes. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you are expected to bring both technical expertise and strategic insights, establishing industry-standard practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities
● Architect, implement, and manage DevOps tools and processes within the Microsoft Azure environment, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
● Collaborate closely with development and project teams to plan, deploy, and troubleshoot applications in production.
● Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to streamline and automate the build, test, and deployment process.
● Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
● Oversee configuration management and orchestration using Azure Automation, Ansible, or Chef to support multi-environment consistency.
● Monitor system performance, security, and health with tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
● Implement and enforce security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) and network security in Azure.
● Drive disaster recovery and high-availability practices to ensure operational continuity. Support and mentor junior DevOps engineers, sharing best practices and providing technical guidance.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
● 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles, with at least 2+ years focused on Microsoft Azure.
● Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
● Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
● Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
● Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, especially AKS).
● Familiarity with hybrid cloud models and integrations with on-premises systems.
● Knowledge of performance optimization and cost-management strategies in Azure.
● Experience with automated testing frameworks and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.
