Senior Quality Analyst

Ensures that business requirement specification are analyzed and understood properly
and able to translate into functional specifications, RTM and test cases.
Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development
procedures used to verify if programs are functioning according to user requirements and
conform to established guidelines.
Ensures that the system is released conforming to the functions and requirements set
and agreed by the customer and development, supported by the Test Summary Report.
Reviews test cases and test reports made by the QA I.
Provides valuable inputs on improving processes within ITSS and arising from system-
related changes.
Applies knowledge and experience to mostly routine situations; application of working or
functional knowledge and capability in a particular process or method; performs
independent action according to acceptable standards and guidelines; may require
minimal assistance in unfamiliar situations.
Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
The candidate must have:
● obtained a Bachelor’s or College degree in either of the following - Industrial
Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Information Technology and/or related field.
● at least three (3) years working experience in Quality Control and/or QA testing;
● Must be proficient in writing test cases and test scripts;
● Must have an experience in creating a test plan;
● Must have an in-depth understanding of Test Design Techniques, QA methodologies
and SDLC;
● With extensive knowledge of QA testing tools, different test approaches, standards and
process;
● Exposure in automated testing (record and playback, standard and customized
checkpoints);
● Knowledge of basic SQL/Progress or other relational databases;
● Exposure in business operations related to manufacturing, distribution and financial
operations will be an advantage
● Experience in various system development environment;

1. QA Process Knowledge
a. Understand and comply with the defined and agreed Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI standards of the organization.
b. Understands various approaches used in testing such as static (desk checking) and dynamic testing (white box, black box, load, coverage, and regression).
c. Able to apply appropriate test design techniques in writing Test Cases.
d. Creates test plan and test effort estimation.
e. Reviews Test Cases and Test Scripts written by QA Analyst I. Make recommendations as necessary.
f. Able to apply appropriate test design techniques in writing Test Cases.
g. Writes Test Cases and Test Scripts, Creates Test Data and Requirement Traceability Matrix.
h. Properly executes the given test cases / test scripts, identifies the correct behavior of the system under test, replicates and reports uncovered defects.
i. Tests and certifies software defect fixes and new functionality. Executes functional, application, regression and performance tests for software releases.
j. Writes clear and precise defect reports as required for identified software defects and functional defects based on testing results.
k. Writes and submits Test Summary Report.
l. Facilitates the Peer Review of the RTM, Test Cases and Test Summary Report.
m. Reviews and analyzes test results and makes recommendations.
n. Enforces quality procedures and guidelines across the Software Development Life Cycle.
o. Contributes to the continuous improvement of the QA procedures and guidelines.
2. Business Analysis
a. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, break down high-level information into details, abstract up low-level information to a general understanding, and classify user requests between must have and not.
b. Deliver the following documents as needed Functional Requirements and Use Cases by proactively communicating and collaborating with customers to analyze information needs and business requirements.
3. Customer Service
a. Satisfy customer by providing clear specifications and quality product according
specified requirements.
b. Exhibits confidence in the understanding the business concerns and provides
sound business suggestions and recommendations accordingly.
4. Administrative
a. Records activities in PTT and reports/elevates issues to superior when needed;
b. Conducts needed audit to ensure compliance to the procedures in CMMI;
c. Prepares and submits of needed reports;
5. Teamwork
a. Closely coordinates with other team members of the applications development team.
b. Facilitates effective team interaction adhering to the values of the company and meeting the objectives.
c. Ability to flexibly adjust to help other team members to ensure continuity of providing service.
